Best Day of My Life
October 16th will go down in history as one of the best days of my life.
I began my day taking pictures at a CrossFit competition and was called away to take pictures of a home birth.
What contrast.
I went from a place that was loud and packed with people to a place where it was quiet and only few were privileged enough to be.
The only constant that day was the strength of a woman.
In both places I watched from behind my camera as women did things I don't even think they knew they were capable of.
Whether it was lifting heavy weights over their head, stringing together pull ups, and pushing themselves past their limits in burpees and bike sprints.
Or breathing through contractions as they intensified, battling through unbearable pain, and maintaining calmness as her body transitioned to bring a baby from her womb into the world.
It was physical and mental strength that got them through.
I am forever changed.
Dear woman, you are strong. Stronger than you'll ever know, capable of more than you can imagine, and designed with such goodness. When the world tries to tell you otherwise, silence that noise and do what you were created to do.
More on each of these moments later this week. I can't wait to share!
